I wasn't kidding about the Cheetoes and marshmallow thing. Friday night we gave Ella this
so we could eat this
without interruption.

haha! too funny!
If Chris and I want to eat without interruption we just plan for a late dinner... After Parker's in bed and the older one's returned to his cave, er I mean bedroom lol.
My oldest son grew up hating veggies but now he does ok with pretty much everything except asparagus, which he knows he has to eat anyway. Luckily my youngest still loves veggies, especially carrots.
Haha! And I always secretly feel bad when I'm FEEDING Parker Ice Cream or Oreos, or in yesterday's case Ice Cream WITH Oreos (mmmmmmmm Cold Stone Creamery) and wonder if he's suffering from vitamin deficiency lol!
I think no matter WHAT you feed your kids you're going to worry in some way must be the moral to this story.
While I am looking forward to your upcoming birthday celebration as a really fun time with really great friends (and some really bad singing), I am also already craving the big and juicy steak smothered in mushrooms and onions I plan on ordering.
As I'm reading this I have Swiss Steak simmering in the kitchen. The boys are having cube steak. And then my husband asked if we were doing the "cube steak boogie". Um, maybe later ;)

I haven't had a good steak in a really long time.
I was craving steak too. Dan actually bought lamb chops for himself (not my fav.)
Brilliant! :)

There is calcium in the cheetos. That's bone building.
I think you have covered at least one food group. And a dinner in peace? Priceless.
Parental survival strategies. They are as important as nutrition, if not more so.
