Movies

We joined something called the five buck club. After a particular film has played a certain number of weeks — at least two — but occasionally more, Kerasotes’ contracts with the film companies allowing them to offer a discounted price, so admission to those films are available to club members for only $5. It totally rocks, go sign up especially if you have a big family to take to the movies.

Movies I am totally excited about but probably won’t be shown at my local theatre.

Nacho Libre
Art School Confidential
Street Fight
Dave Chappelle’s Block Party
Marie Antoinette
Why We Fight
Idlewild

That is a good deal since evening movie tickets are up to $7.50 now. Nacho Libre looks hilarious-Jack Black as a Mexican Wrestler? Ha! Art School Confidential looks good too. I like John Malkovich.

Our theatre does the Dove Family Film Festival. After the movies have been out for a while, there's an 8 week period where kids under 12 get in free and adults for $2.50. We're seeing Chicken Little and Wallace and Gromit's Curse of the Where-Rabbit. Should be fun.

Wow! I wish we had something like that! Dan & I paid 22.50 to take Ella to see half of Madagascar. I haven't attempted a movie with her since - but at 5.00 for all of us I might.
