I honestly believe that these groups pose a bigger threat than most people realize. Some think it is just a few radicals and primarily found in the South...I know better.
Reading that article also worries me. I have a 19 year old cousin, who is lacking direction and focus in his life and just joined the Army (infantry). It was out of the blue, he did not tell his parents before he signed up.
And, I just read this morning that the two soldiers who were mutilated and murdered last week were a direct retaliation for the rape and murder of the Iraqi woman.
One of my Marines was discharged from service for being a racist. It was unknown to me and the only way it was made known was rather extraordinary. He had a copy of Mein Kampf sitting on his nightstand during a field day inspection and was asked jokingly by the company's first sgt. if he was a racist and bluntly replied yes. There was a huge investigation and then hearing and then witch hunt for others. The battlion even talked about banning Marines from wearing Doc Martens while off duty because Docs were adopted by Neo-Nazis as the footwaer of choice. This was back in 1995. We were overseas at the time and they put him on a plane back home and then kicked him out.

Can I go back into my bubble now?
Wow. That's all pretty ridiculous, and I think a sign that this all needs to end soon.
