Taking older kids on a vacation is hard. They like their own things,but we alllll love a swimming pool. So I got an air bnb with a pool and hence forth that will be the priority in all vacation homes we rent. We spent a lot of time making whirlpools and bopping beach balls back and forth. I liked getting up every morning and skimming the bugs off while sipping my coffee. It helped that it was a heatwave. Our happy relaxing worked for five short days. :)
